Hoorayyyy! It’s Griffin’s book birthday!
I’m so excited to announce that Never Say Hero, the fourth book in the Oh. My. Gods. series, is out today! It’s available in ebook and hardcover pretty much anywhere books are sold online.
Warning: Even the description of this book contains spoilers for the Oh. My. Gods. series. Read on at your own risk.
About the Book
Here’s everything you need to know about the book:
Facing the past is going to be one epic quest.
Griffin Blake may be a descendant of the legendary Hercules, but he’s never felt like much of a hero. How could he, when he’s the reason his parents got smoted off the face of the earth? He’s spent the last decade punishing himself for a mistake he can’t undo. Until he learns the gods are finally ready to give him a chance to make things right.
When he heads to Olympus, ready to do whatever it takes, Hera offers him a deal. Help her son seek and successfully complete a quest to regain his immortality—the very immortality that Griffin’s childhood prank stole—and she’ll bring his parents back.
Now he and Hera’s son have to embark on a dangerous adventure through ancient myth that will test their determination, stamina, and courage. All without the help of magical powers or modern technology. Can Griffin survive this chance to prove worthy of his heroic heritage and earn the forgiveness he so desperately seeks?
Becoming the hero he’s always wanted to be might be the biggest challenge of all.
Read the first three chapters.
Behind-the-Book
No story can be completely captured in a book. At least, not any story that I write. Which is why I created a bunch of fun extras to take you… behind the book.

Absolutely Jason’s quest for the Golden Fleece. Classic Greek mythology.
Then you just might like the quest in Never Say Hero…. *wink-wink*
Thank you so much for doing this giveaway. You have been one of my favorite authors since middle school. It is hard to choose but I just love mythology about mermaids so I think my favorite mythological quests from your books is when Lily goes on her quest to get the signatures she needs to help protect the ocean. Also I love when Gretchen, Greer, Grace and Thane go on their quest in Sweet Shadows.
Awwww, you are so sweet, Micheala! And I love the quests you picked. xoxo
Got my copy.
Mt mythological quest is not personal – you didn’t say it need be after all!
I wish to see some of your standalone characters get together and interact in their own quest – tlc style.
Maybe I’m a broken record for asking for this over and over but hear goes!
Put the gorgon sisters, ala from Sweet Venom series on the island with the rest of the kids learning – as in where Griffin is currently, pre-release at least and see where they go! What adventures with they find underground or will they attempt to reach Olympus?
Haha! I haven’t forgotten your request, John! I swear, it’s on my list. I never thought about putting the Medusa girls on Serfopoula. Hmmm….. 😉
My favorite mythological quest is Prometheus and the Theft of Fire. Thanks for the chance! ❤
Oooh, good one! xo
I think my favorite quest is about Theseus and the Minotaur. I became obsessed after reading The Voyage of the Bassett as a child and decided minotaurs were sweet and not so scary after all.
Love your books! It’s so exciting to have a new story.
Great pick! Though I think Gretchen from Sweet Venom might disagree with your thoughts on minotaurs…. xoxo
I loved the first chapters!!!! I love the Odyssey. It has a little of everything and got me started reading and loving Mythology.
Yay, so glad you loved the chapters! And absolutely, the Odyssey is an epic (hehe) quest!!
I’m so excited for this boooook!!! Oh. My. Gods. Was the first book series I ever read!! I completed it in like 4 days so I’m excited to read Never Say Hero and be transported back into my fav series!!!
P.S: Tera you are absolutely my very favorite author of all time! <3
Is it weird of me to say that my favorite quest is Orpheus traversing the underworld for Eurydice? Because I’ve always loved it. Beautifully tragic.
Thanks for running this giveaway!!
I think my favorite would be Perseus and Medusa. Mostly because it inspired the Percy Jackson series that got me into Greek mythology, but also because he prevailed in an impossible task to save his mom from men with not good intentions. He also got a girl out of the deal *and* a happy ending, which is extremely rare for mythical heroes!
Thank you for the chance to enter for this book! I’ve been so excited for it! I’d have to say my favorite mythological quest would have to be Jason and the Argonauts. Classic!
Ooooh, tough! Not so much a quest (or failed quest) but Orpheus trying to get his wife back from the underworld.
My favourite “Quest” as it were, is that if Ariadne. Her quest to save her beloved Theseus from the Labyrinth, followed by her abandonment on Naxos and subsequent marriage to Dionysus.
Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway! Oh. My. Gods is a book I read years ago yet I never forgot because I love the characters. Phoebe and Nic are still some of my favorite characters ever. My favorite mythological quest would be Theseus’ quest.
