Hi!!!! I’m Calix Aigophagos! I’m so, so, SO excited to talk to you. Or, you know, write to you. I’m so excited to anything to you!
I’ve never done something like this before. I live on Mt. Olympus and my mom (Hera, you’ve probably heard of her) doesn’t want me interacting with the nothos world. Which basically means that the whole internet is new to me.
So, anyway, I’M SO EXCITED to tell you about me. And I think the best way to do that is to tell you about my favorite things.
My favorite …
- … Pre-classical writer: Homer
- … epic poem: The Odyssey
- … lyrical poet: Sappho
- … lyrical poem: ████████ (that work is lost to the nothos world)
- … dramatist: Sophocles
- … tragedy: Antigone
- … comedy: Lysistrata
- … satyr play: ████████ (another work lost to the nothos world)
- … Hellenistic writer: Apollonius of Rhodes
(Please include some non-literary faves in the mix. —TLC)
- … food: anything I can eat with my hands (without staining or spilling on whatever I’m reading)
- … color: is rainbow a color?
- … activity: reading (aren’t you surprised?!)
- … day: Monday (because everyone on Olympus gets really busy and I can do pretty much whatever I want)
- … season: fall (perfect for reading!)
- … animal: turtles
- … weather: rain (also perfect for reading!)
- … word: sempiternal (it means eternal)
- … place: the Olympic library
Also, I thought you might like to know some of my secret dreams. I mean, you can probably guess from my favorites list that I really want to be a writer. I’m not sure what kind of writer. I love poetry so much! But I also love prose and romance and drama and comedy and…. Well, I still have to figure that part out.
I also want to attend The Academy. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s this special school in Greece just for the descendants of the gods. And, well, my mom is a god (a goddess, technically), so I should definitely be able to go. Except that my mom gets mad anytime I even mention leaving Mt. Olympus. Still, that’s my dream. To attend The Academy with all the other descendants. It sounds like so much fun.
And since we’re sharing dreams now (or at least I am), I think you should know that—Oh! Sorry! TLC says I’m out of room. I’ll have to save that dream for the next time I get to write something to you. Or maybe I can write all about it in my first book. Don’t forget to read all about me in Never Say Hero! Bye! For now!!!
