Hi everyone! It’s me, Lily, again. Brody had a really hard swim practice last night and a bunch of homework and an early news team meeting, so he didn’t have time to post his blog. He asked me to pull something from his news team profile.
Senior Brody Bennett has been a member of the Seaview High news team since his freshman year, holding the prestigious post of head anchor since he was a sophomore. His exposees on unfair parking permit practices and hidden calories in the cafeteria food have earned him city-wide recognition.
In addition to being a renowned news anchor, Brody is also a champion swimmer. He has qualified for the Florida state swim meet three years running, and expects to qualify easily again this year. He is the back-to-back defending state champion in the 100M butterfly and plans to claim the title for the third straight year this spring.
Now you probably want to know what isn’t in the official profile. Well, he’s tall and has this long, lean swimmer’s build. He’s a beautiful swimmer. I could watch him swim all day, every day. (And hopefully, some day soon, I will!) He’s got this yummy dark brown, curly hair that just begs for a finger comb, and the most unique golden brown eyes I’ve ever seen. On top of all that, he is kind and laid back and totally at home in every situation, a trait I definitely lack and admire. And, the best part of all, he’s just broken up with his long time girlfriend, Courtney–aka Seaview queen B, if you know what I mean. (Thankfully you won’t have to meet her this week.)
Isn’t he dreamy? Can you imagine anyone more perfect for me, a mermaid, than a nice, cute, all-star swimmer? It’s fate, I’m telling you.
Sorry, daydreaming. Anyway, Brody promises to be around to answer questions for the Saturday blog, so ask your questions. I, for one, will be anxiously awaiting his answers. If someone doesn’t ask the question burning on my mind–namely, could he ever see me as anything more than just a buddy?–then I will!
And be sure to tell your friends to come comment to help raise money for Oceana and to help protect and preserve oceans around the world.
xoxo
