On the occasion of the release of Sweet Shadows, the triplet monster-hunting descendants of Medusa took a moment to celebrate. Greer threw a lavish party and created Sparkling Sweet Venom, a custom mocktail for the event.
She has graciously agreed to share the recipe with the rest of us.

Sparkling Sweet Venom
Ingredients
- sparkling white grape juice
- red food coloring
- blue food coloring
- sanding sugar
- grapes any variety
Instructions
- Pour sparkling white grape juice into pitcher. Add alternating drops of red and blue food coloring while stirring until liquid is light purple in color.
- Fill one wide bowl with 1/4” deep water, and fill another with 1/4” deep sanding sugar. Take glass and dip rim into water and then sanding sugar, to create a sugared rim.
- When sugar rim is dry, fill glass with purple sparkling grape juice.
- Drop a pair of grapes in the bottom of the glass. Or, if you want to be fancy, cut several grapes almost in half and set them on the rim of the glass for garnish.
You can download a fancy PDF version to print out for your recipe book.
